How to get to Zakynthos
By Air
Zakynthos is served by one airport located towards the south end of the island near the resort of Laganas and Kalamaki and caters for both international and domestic flights. Almost all international flights are chartered flights from other European cities during the holiday season (May-October).
Domestic flights are available between Zakynthos Airport and Athens International Airport twice a day and the journey time is approximately 1 hour.
By Ferry
From Italy there are four ports, Ancona, Brindisi, Bari and Venice which have routes to Greece’s large port of Patras on the Greek mainland.
From Patras you can drive or take a bus to the Port of Kyllini which is about an hour away and from there take the ferry boat directly to Zakynthos. There are several schedules per day running between Zante and Kyllini and it takes approximately 1 hour.
